  • Bachelor's degree, AND 36 months of related experience
  • Equivalent/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree for a total of 84 months of related experience.
  • All applicants must obtain the Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) credential within 18 months of employment; employees are expected to meet designated benchmarks toward completion.

Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative duties in support of substance use prevention projects as assigned.
  • Assist in the collection of data for reports and statistical research.
  • Compile statistical data in Excel spreadsheets.
  • Online outreach and promotion using social media under guidance from project staff.
  • Participate at community and campus meetings, health events, festivals, or activities.
  • Provide community education and outreach services within Cleveland and McClain Counties.
  • Coordinate the activities between projects for a department or college and between those projects and other programs on the national or state level, interfacing with university departments, funding sources, outside organizations and state/government agencies.
  • Reconcile accounts and balance financial statement transactions to source documents such as accounts payable transactions, deposits, and inter-university transactions.
  • Examine and solve irregularities.
  • Assist in the preparation of grants and ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Research Administration, Principal Investigators and other personnel.
  • Distribute information to program staff and others.
  • Answer questions about the program and its progress as it relates financially.
  • Prepare and manage the grant budget for research projects sponsored by outside funding sources.
  • Organize and participate in the analysis of collected data.
  • May perform data entry, collect, and clean data.
  • Coordinate with the Institutional Review Board to develop protocols and consent forms for research projects.
  • Ensure projects are in compliance with University regulations.
  • Prepare the program budget. Reconcile accounts, purchases, enters and approves vouchers.
  • Responsible for appropriating funds for salaries and other program expenses.
  • Monitor departmental accounts, accounts payable transactions, and spending activity.
  • Prepare cost and budget transfers, enter requisitions and invoices for payment.
  • Prepare the daily deposit of department receipts.
  • Develop proposals, negotiating and administering grants and contracts.
  • Coordinate administrative functions such as personnel, operational matters and other services.
  • Plan and oversee special projects.
  • Perform various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
